A Helping Hand

NTEU is very proud of the generosity of federal employees.

Let’s face it. Though times are tough for federal employees, many of you continue to give what you can. That's an extraordinary testament to your steadfast commitment to help those in need.

One charity near and dear to NTEU’s heart is the Federal Employee Education and Assistance (FEEA) Fund.

NTEU was a founder of FEEA more than 25 years ago, and we continue to support this unique organization today. What makes it unique? Well, FEEA is the only charity that allows federal employees to help other federal employees in need.

Here's how FEEA helps:

  • It provides loans of up to $1,000 to employees who fall behind on basic living expenses (mortgage/rent or utilities) due to emergencies.

  • It sponsors the only annual, merit-based contest exclusively for federal employees, their spouses and college-age children. Awards range from $500-$7,500. NTEU is a vital part of the scholarship program, having endowed no fewer than five $5,000 scholarships each year.

By pledging to FEEA, you can help your colleagues and friends. You may even be helping the person who works beside you every day.

If you have contributed to FEEA in the past, please accept our gratitude. Please don't stop giving. To those who plan to contribute to FEEA for the first time, we extend a warm, grateful welcome.

Thank you.
