Reardon Advocates for Paid Parental Lave

This Father's Day, NTEU is leading a campaign to give new dads what they really need—paid parental leave.

All last week, leading up to Father’s Day, NTEU launched a campaign to build support for pending legislation that provides federal employees with six weeks of paid parental leave. A highlight of the campaign was an opinion piece authored by National President Tony Reardon for Federal News Radio. In it, Reardon describes why as a father, he wants to see Congress support paid parental leave.

"As a father of four, I know how vitally important it is for parents to bond with their newborn children or kids they adopt or foster," he wrote. "Congress can do more than just talk about family values, it can pass legislation that values families."
