A Busy Week in Philadelphia

Since I became National President nearly one year ago, I have traveled thousands of miles, visiting many workplaces and many, many members—a part of my job I especially enjoy.

That’s why last month, I took advantage of my time in Philadelphia to meet with the leadership of Chapters 22 (IRS Philadelphia) and 71 (IRS Philadelphia Campus).

These two chapters, which are close in geography and have a shared worksite, often join forces on issues impacting the IRS workforce, including matters involving seasonal employee conversions, local safety and health concerns, and, of course, on their ongoing legislative and political efforts.

During our lunchtime meeting, we talked about current issues facing the IRS workforce and how we can work together to overcome our challenges.

Stay tuned to our blog, “A Day’s Work,” for more of my reports from the road.
