National Parks Free on Veterans Day

Pearl Harbor

What are you doing Veterans Day? The National Park Service (NPS) is inviting you to honor our nation’s heroes by visiting any park for free on Friday, Nov. 11.

Many national parks honor American veterans by preserving the places they fought, such as battlefields, military parks and various historic sites. National parks, in general, are part of our nation’s history and identity, and have been a source of inspiration for veterans. See NPS sites of remembrance.

NTEU expresses our deepest gratitude to our nation’s veterans for their courage and sacrifice. We are also very proud to represent the NPS employees who are the face of the parks, protecting our nation’s heritage and welcoming visitors.
