NTEU Members Get Seen and Heard

Homepage of the Kojo Show

When a popular Washington, D.C., area radio show needed a photo to accompany a story on federal workers concerned about the incoming administration, it looked to NTEU.

A sign from a Capitol Hill rally during the October 2013 government shutdown is on today’s homepage of the Kojo Nnamdi Show, which airs on the Washington-area National Public Radio affiliate. The show explores how the presidential transition is affecting federal employee morale.

The NTEU sign, which reads “But I can’t stop a tax cheat from home,” was from Rep. Keith Ellison’s (D-Minn.) flckr page. It was taken during one of several highly visible rallies in front of the Capitol the union participated in during the 16-day shutdown in 2013. It just goes to show how NTEU continues to be at the forefront speaking out for federal employees—and we will continue to make sure you have a powerful voice with the new administration and agency leadership.
