Reardon Marks Public Service Recognition Week with Op-Ed

Despite the name-calling and budget-cutting proposals, Americans have a newfound respect for federal employees. That’s President Tony Reardon’s message in a guest editorial published on Federal News Radio’s website marking Public Service Recognition Week, which began on Sunday.  

“On this Public Service Recognition Week, I would like to see the term ‘government bureaucrat’ shed its negative connotation and instead reflect the reality of what it means to be a federal employee: ‘public servant,’” wrote President Reardon.

The editorial reinforces the reality that federal employees are valued members of communities nationwide who have chosen to dedicate their careers to public service. Read the op-ed
