Deadline for CFC Pledges This Friday

Federal employees have until this Friday, Jan. 12 to make a pledge to the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC).

There are many deserving charities to choose from, but NTEU encourages members to consider helping their colleagues in need by pledging to donate to the Federal Employee Education and Assistance Fund (FEEA). All donations to FEEA (CFC #11185) help fund scholarships and emergency financial assistance, such as grants and no-interest loans for federal employees.

Over more than 30 years, FEEA has assisted federal employees caught in big natural disasters, like the recent spate of hurricanes, and smaller personal crises such as a house fire, funeral expenses or a utility bill. FEEA needs your help so that no federal employee in need is turned away.

For this year’s CFC, FEEA is encouraging pledges of $2 a pay period to help federal families in need.

New to this year’s campaign is the option for retirees to make a recurring gift that is deducted from their annuity. Previously, retirees could only make a one-time gift to CFC charities. Retirees can give online or using a printed form Office of Personnel Management form.
