More than 85 members and their families celebrated NTEU’s 80th anniversary at Chapter 60’s (IRS New Jersey) annual Day at the Races at Monmouth Park Racetrack in Oceanport, N.J.
In honor of NTEU’s milestone, the day’s Race 8 was named the “NTEU 80th Anniversary Invitational.” According to Chapter 60 President John Kelshaw, the weather was great, spirits were high, but there were no big purses paid to members.
Still, every NTEU member went home a winner for being a part of a union that fights hard for them at the bargaining table, in the courts, in the media and in the workplace.
