Negotiations on Capitol Hill and with the White House are reportedly ongoing to find a funding deal that will end the government shutdown. There appears to be no quick end, however.
This is a demoralizing situation for you and all your fellow NTEU members who are caught up in this brinksmanship. NTEU recognizes the strain this puts on employees particularly during the holiday season.
Earlier today, National President Tony Reardon sent letters to every member of the U.S. House and Senate urging them to re-open the government.
