Members Visit District Offices to Advocate for Federal Employee Issues

It was a summer of legislative action for NTEU members around the country. While Congress took its August recess, chapter members visited their lawmakers’ district offices to advocate for federal employees and NTEU’s priority issues: improving pay, protecting collective bargaining rights, preserving benefits and adequate funding for agencies. Below is a snapshot of the summer work of NTEU chapters:


Chapter 60

Chapter 22 (IRS Philadelphia) and Chapter 60 (IRS New Jersey) joined forces to meet with several representatives, including Rep. Andy Kim (center), on issues that concern federal employees and their collective bargaining rights.

 Chapter 68

Rep. Lori Trahan and Massachusetts State Rep. Tram Nguyen visited Chapter 68 (IRS Andover Campus).

 Chapter 149

Chapter 149 (CBP Hidalgo) presented an plaque of appreciation to Rep. Vicente Gonzalez.

 Chapter 68 Hassan

Philly chapters

Chapters 22 (IRS Philadelphia) and 71 (IRS Philadelphia Campus) combined their power in Philadelphia, meeting with staff at the office of Rep. Donald Norcross.
