Beginning today, new per diem rates are in effect for federal employees who travel as part of their work.
Federal workers staying in the continental U.S. will see a $2 increase for their lodging allowance (from $94 in fiscal 2019 to $96 for fiscal 2020). The “meals and incidentals” allowance remains unchanged at $55. The standard rate covers the lower 48 states, except for 322 Non-Standard Areas (NSAs) with higher per diem rates.
Three new locations are now NSAs:

Boise, ID (Ada County)

Park County, MT, has been added to the Big Sky, MT, NSA area

Missoula and Flathead Counties in Montana were separated into their own NSAs
