FEEA Scholarship Deadline: Application FAQs

The deadline for federal employees or their families to apply for a collegiate scholarship through the Federal Employee Education and Assistance Fund (FEEA) is March 25—less than a month away. Considering applying? Here are answers to common questions:

Who is eligible?

Full or part-time permanent federal civilian or postal workers employed with the federal government for more than three years.  Those employees’ children, step-children, legal dependents and their spouses are also eligible to apply.

How much are the scholarship amounts?
Winners will receive scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $5,000.

Is there a list of required documents needed to apply?
Yes, the applicant will need:

-Complete high school or college transcripts (unofficial transcripts accepted)

-One academic, professional or community member recommendation

-An essay

-A list of community service, awards and extracurricular activities

-A copy of federal employee sponsor’s current SF-50 (not required for retired NARFE members)
