What’s My Right?: Protesting

Every American, as part of the First Amendment, has the right to protest peacefully. But as a federal employee, there are a few things to keep in mind before heading to the streets.

The NTEU Bulletin outlines key reminders, such as you must be off-duty and not wearing any uniform or identifying accessories. Read more on what to know before protesting here.

You can always get more information from your NTEU representative. Federal law and your NTEU contract guarantee your right to meet with your union steward for help with these issues and much more.
