NTEU Honored as GameChanger for Paid Parental Leave Work

National President Tony Reardon yesterday accepted the Labor Champion GameChanger award from Family Values @ Work for NTEU’s longtime efforts to secure paid parental leave for federal employees.

The annual awards ceremony recognizes organizations and activists who have championed family-friendly workplace policies including paid leave.

“I am proud to share this award with all of our members who persevered over 20 years and fought for this historic benefit,” said Reardon. “It’s hard to believe that NTEU first endorsed Rep. Maloney’s paid parental leave legislation back in 2000—and we fought ever since to make it a reality.”
