Inauguration Day is a Holiday for D.C.-Area Employees

Mark your calendars, Washington-area: Inauguration Day, Jan. 20, will be a holiday even with the ongoing COVID-19 considerations.

Under ‘normal’ circumstances, federal workers would get the day off due to increased road closures and security concerns. The Office of Personnel Management recently confirmed that even those in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia working from home will still receive the extra paid time off.

A reminder that all federal employees will have Dec. 24 off.
