NTEU voiced strong support for President Biden’s decision to nominate Susan Tsui Grundmann to the Federal Labor Relations Authority and Kurt Rumsfeld as FLRA General Counsel.
Grundmann has extensive experience in labor-management relations, including more than 20 years litigating and advising clients on labor and employment matters.
Rumsfeld is especially well-qualified for the General Counsel role, having served in the FLRA Office of General Counsel for many years.
The FLRA has been without a permanent General Counsel for more than three years. This has resulted in a backlog of unfair labor practice complaints where an FLRA Regional Office has determined a ULP charge has merit.
NTEU urges the Senate to quickly confirm these two highly qualified nominees.
