Late Tuesday night, the House joined the Senate in passing legislation to increase the debt limit, extending the government’s borrowing limit into 2023. 

Earlier today, President Biden signed it into law.

NTEU is pleased that congressional leaders were able to reach an agreement to address the debt limit and protect the full faith and credit of the country.

Yesterday, the Senate passed the FY 2022 National Defense Authorization Act providing all federal workers with two weeks of paid bereavement leave for the death of a child, and restoring a one-year probationary period for civilian employees of the Department of Defense starting in 2023. President Biden is expected to sign the bill in the coming days.
