New Academic Agreements Offer Reduced Tuition Rates

For those federal employees interested in pursuing education opportunities, the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has just announced three new institutions that have joined the Federal Academic Alliance.

The Federal Academic Alliance program now partners with 26 colleges and universities to offer federal employees, and in some cases their family members, discounted tuition rates and scholarships.

Florida Institute of Technology, Rosemont College, and Villanova University’s College of Professional Studies or College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (Office of Graduate Studies) are now part of the alliance.

These agreements provide reduced tuition rates or scholarships to federal employees, with the ability to customize programs and certificates to address agency-specific skills and work with academic partners to receive advice and instruction.

The portfolio of these institutions includes programs that address mission-critical occupation skills in the areas of Acquisition; Human Resources; Financial Auditing; Economics; Information Technology with an emphasis on Cybersecurity; and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
