Chapter 337 Hosts Black History Month Discussion

More than 100 employees at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission joined a virtual discussion on workplace diversity, hosted by NTEU Chapter 337.

The event, organized in honor of Black History Month, featured guest speaker Ed Tillet, a diversity professional and Director of Multicultural Business Programs at Michigan State University.

Chapter President Malcolm Alexander-Neal noted that the conversation was great, touching on diversity, reaching out to colleagues of color and getting to know them and modifying behaviors to be more inclusive of people of color.

“I feel that Tillet’s presentation brought everyone together and made us all feel included in the conversation and the solution. It is important to have these types of conversations and I am happy we were able to facilitate a speaker that curated an influential conversation,” Alexander-Neal said.
