NTEU Chapter Leaders Featured in Washington Post

The Washington Post published a story on the real-life workplace implications of the IRS funding boost that includes the perspectives of NTEU chapter leaders.

Chapter Presidents David Carrone (6, IRS Arkansas/Louisiana), Regina Parker (9, Cincinnati), Lorie McCann (10, IRS Chicago), Shannon Ellis (66, IRS Kansas City Service Center), and Beth Willwerth (68, IRS Andover Campus) are all featured. 

The IRS began the 2023 tax-filing season hiring more employees to answer phone calls and reopening more offices around the country to provide in-person help, proof that the agency was already using additional funding provided by the Inflation Reduction Act to improve taxpayer services.
