NTEU Urging House Members to Vote ‘No!’ on Funding Cuts

The House FY 2024 Agriculture and FDA Appropriations bill includes proposed funding cuts to the FDA, CFTC, FNS and FSA. NTEU is strongly opposed.

“Due to the extreme flaws in this bill and the danger it presents to national health and safety, NTEU asks that you vote NO on the bill,” National President Tony Reardon wrote Thursday to House members.

The letter presses for adequate funding to ensure the critical work of these agencies continues. Reardon also voiced NTEU’s opposition to a provision defunding diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in federal workplaces.

Congress will resume work on fiscal 2024 funding after the August recess. In the meantime, NTEU will continue fighting for adequate funding for all agencies we represent.
