Solidarity with Kaiser Permanente Workers

A message from the NTEU National President:

NTEU Members:

Yesterday, members of the Coalition of Kaiser Permanente Unions went on strike for increased staffing and better wages. More than 75,000 workers in five states and the District of Columbia are conducting a three-day strike to send a clear message that they will not stand for unfair labor practices, a staffing crisis that harms patient care and insufficient pay increases. This is the largest health care worker strike in the history of the United States.

As federal employees, we know what it is like to not have sufficient staffing and we understand the harmful effects and the toll understaffing has on employees. As NTEU members we know the importance of using our collective power to come together to fight for workplace rights and support union worker’s rights to improve the work lives of their members. Let’s stand in solidarity with these union members as they fight for a better way of life. Please check out www.unioncoalition.org to learn more about this work action and ways we can support them.

In solidarity,
