As we approach Veterans Day, I am thankful for our veterans. I remember the many federal employees who have served in the military and now continue their service as federal employees.
Our military veterans deserve our gratitude, and they deserve to be treated with the utmost dignity and respect. Unfortunately, federal agencies too often do not provide them with the tools they need to be successful as a federal employee. Many struggle with physical and emotional scars because of their military service. They may need help to navigate training and other resources to help them with their unique challenges.
NTEU is proud to stand with our veterans and will always call out any failure of federal agencies to do the same. Take a moment this week and thank our union veterans for their service and let’s make sure we always have their backs.
