CBP Employees Help Keep Super Bowl Safe

Behind the scenes at Sunday’s Super Bowl, Customs and Border Protection employees will be providing critical support for the game’s security operations in Las Vegas.

Like in previous Super Bowls, CBP Officers are collaborating with other local, state and federal law-enforcement agencies to perform vehicle inspections, keep out drones and illegal drugs, and prevent human trafficking.

Last year, CBP performed more than 1,250 security scans on vehicles entering California’s SoFi stadium and confiscated fraudulent jerseys, championship rings and souvenirs. According to CBP, counterfeit merchandise is the most lucrative transnational criminal activity in the world, generating about $1 trillion in illegal profits for criminal organizations.

Whomever you’re rooting for on Sunday night, we can all cheer for the NTEU-represented employees at CBP keeping the event safe and secure event.
