On this day of remembrance for our country, NTEU remembers and honors the lives lost and the lives impacted. We also honor our fellow Americans for the resilience we have shown as a nation, and our relentless determination to ensure that our way of life—our land of the free and home of the brave—continues for all generations to come.

Today is a day to remember so many lives lost and lives changed forever at the World Trade Center, at the Pentagon, and in the Pennsylvania countryside. It is also a day to celebrate the lives lost by living, as they would have, not in fear, but in freedom.

As a Union, we honor and we remember, committed to looking forward to honoring our past and defining our future—an America no one can take away from us.
